The stories in this collection display the varying female dynamic, many showcasing a strong female lead. The proceeds from the sale of Woman go to the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
The Woman I Can't See
The Woman I Can't See is a fantasy short-fiction story for the anthology, Dreams & Nightmares, published in 2015 by At Bay Press. The story follows the often confusing and inexplicable grief one experiences while losing a loved one. Sent with Love is a holiday greeting created in 2015 for At Bay Press. This poem documents the excitement, hustle and confusion around the holiday season. It was inspired by vintage Canadian postage stamps, which were used in the artwork of this piece.
The Other Me
The Other Me is a two part prose created for New Moon Project. In part one of this work, the narrator meets another version of herself, and the two go for coffee. Part two explores the exact same conversation between people, however it is from the Other Me's perspective, offering two separate sets of internal dialogue and thoughts. Aurora is a Canadiana poem published by At Bay Press. It personifies Aurora Borealis, the magical Northern Lights that can be viewed in many places in the world. The poem was a holiday greeting sent out to a selected group through the publishing company. It was inducted into the Legislative Library of Manitoba heritage items to be preserved for all of time. The poem will be used for research purposes for future generations. The artwork provided is by Michael Joyal.

Rogue Wood Supply is an online resource dedicated to exploring modern spirituality and self-care. It offers a hearty blog component, as well as workshops, an online supply shop and more. Popular content explores crystal lore, self-care rituals, core shamanism, feng shui, gardening and astrology.
Ruby Silver is a short science-fiction story found in the anthology titled, Woman. The story follows lead female, Ruby, a bicentennial hybrid or "silver" in future times while the human race tries to capture her species to sustain their survival against disease. Trew & Copper is a short science-fiction story found in the anthology, Jilted Love. After the human species has been invaded by an alien race, a secondary docile alien race tries to save humanity. Nearly extinct, scientist Dana Copper finds herself in an unfathomable romance with the captain of an alien species. This story was published in 2013 by At Bay Press. Dragon Tears is a fantasy work of fiction published in the 2012 short fiction annual with At Bay Press. This short story is about one man's fascination with a dragon that he keeps locked in his basement. Young Money was a biweekly financial column targeted to Millennials. Young Money's intention was to demystify the financial world for young people, making it accessible and understandable to a generation that is prone to doing things differently than our predecessors. It was printed in the Canstar community papers owned by the Winnipeg Free Press and can be viewed here.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, it celebrated the happenings in the Canadian Prairies and won multiple awards during its run. Vanessa provided art direction, layout and journalism with a small team, and devout contributors.
